Part One

The Candidate must hold a basic medical qualification recognised for registration by a National Association to sit Part One. You should submit your completed application form, your up to date;

  • CV.
  • Two passport sized photographs.
  • Your examination fee.

Candidates may only sit the Part One Examination once per year. 

If a candidates fails the Part One Examation, he/she must wait until the following year before he/she can resit the examination.
The Part One Certificate is valid for three years

Part Two

Part Two must be attempted within a timescale of three years from success in Part One.

Once Part Two has been attempted Part One becomes valid in perpetuity.


Eligibility Criteria:

  • Passed EBPS part one.
  • Must have completed an approved paediatric surgery training course in your own country and be able to provide proof of this.
  • If your own country does not have an exit exam, we will accept a written letter from your supervisor confirming that you have completed a training scheme and that he/she feels it appopriate that you sit the EBPS Part Two.
  • You must provide your log book or operative summary signed by your training supervisor.
  • You must submit your complete part two application form, two passport sized photographs and your full up to date cv with the above documentation.

Incomplete applications will be rejected.

Forthcoming EBPS Events

Please note the following important information:

** Candidates attempt the part one and part two examinations in a non-European venue may be asked to contribute to local costs by the local organizer; these fees will be extra to the EBPS examination fee.

*Candidates attempting the part one exam alongside the EUPSA Congress will be asked to register to attend the congress for at least one day.
